Los agentes inmediatamente le brindaron ayuda y llamaron al personal m\u00e9dico. El personal del Departamento de Bomberos de Ventura y los param\u00e9dicos de American Medical Response (AMR) respondieron al lugar para brindar esfuerzos avanzados para salvarle la vida. Los esfuerzos para salvarle la vida resultaron infructuosos y el Sr. Johnston fue declarado muerto en la c\u00e1rcel.
